Did you know that the United States had a monsoon season? Well, it does indeed have a North American monsoon season. This class will introduce you to this interesting weather pattern.
Class experience
US Grade 6 - 9
The focus for this weather course will be on the North American monsoon season that impacts the southwest United States during the summertime. This course will investigate the general weather pattern, the thunderstorms, flooding, wind damage, and other impacts during this weather pattern. There will also be a short video during the class to provide a visual insight to the dangers of the localized flooding. This learning goals of this course will be to investigate the general weather pattern of the North American monsoon, the thunderstorms, flooding, wind damage, and other impacts during this weather pattern.
I have 20 years experience in the Air Force as an aviation meteorologist and have extensive experience teaching weather to military personal and on online platforms. Also, a certified STEM teacher in Arizona.
