IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a continuously running class on a 12-week cycle. The classes are standalone, so learners can join at any point during the 12 weeks. Hi! My name is Cristina and I am an Astronomy and Meteorology teacher. I have been an educator for over a decade, having earned a Bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry with a minor in Psychology and Counseling. I am a certified severe storm spotter for both the National Weather Service and the Spotter Network, and am proud to be a NASA Social alumni. Additionally, I serve as a Solar System Ambassador for NASA/JPL, allowing me to share the latest astronomy events with my community.
In my role as a science communicator, I've had the honor of sharing space-related updates for numerous years, affording me the opportunity to distribute information about space across various social media platforms. Additionally, I was selected by Lockheed Martin as a space influencer for the OSIRIS-REx asteroid mission. Science, particularly Meteorology and Astronomy, have always been a passion of mine and I strive to make learning about it enjoyable for students.
