The learning goals for this course will be to learn about tornadic activity, the supercell structure, Fujita scale, how a tornado destroys a house, and safety tips during a tornado warning. Further, it will even look at a real-world example and tornado myths. Additionally, there will be an attached note taking document with pictures to help the student learn and retain the information. The desire of the teacher is to engage the students with questions and dialogue to help them further learn the material and answer questions about tornado activity. There will be no assigned home work in this class and the teaching style will be lecture via power point material with a few questions asked of the students.
Learning Goals
The student will learn about tornadoes in particular how they form, fujitia scale, how they destroy houses, the National Weather Service warning and watches system, and safety precautuions.
