Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
In this class, students will learn all about big cats in the wild, what they look like, their habits, where they are located, and many other fun facts about these magnificent animals. They will also learn why big cats are a favorite animal among many people. Students will view slideshows that includes pictures and interesting facts about each big cat. They will also watch short videos with more helpful information about each big cat. Toward the end of each lesson, students will learn how to draw each big cat. There will be ample discussion time for each learner's individual knowledge and opinions about these beautiful creatures. The main goal of this camp is to teach students about these incredible animals and that all wild animals serve a purpose in our world. Students will also learn about why some of these cats are endangered and why we should protect them.

Week 2: Lions and Cougars

Week 3: Cheetahs

Week 4: Panthers and Jaguars

Week 5: Leopards
Learning Goals
Students will learn about different kinds of big cats and their locations.
Students will learn about the physical features of each big cat.
Students will learn about many big cat habits.
Students will learn what big cats eat and how they hunt.
Students will be able to understand why some of these big cats are endangered.

Parental Guidance
There will be pictures and videos of lots of big cats and their habits in the wild. They may be shown eating or capturing their prey. They may also be shown fighting with or killing other animals.
