Writing a research paper can be a daunting experience. This class is designed to jumpstart college bound writers on how to write a research paper. Please notice that this class is not designed to teach students how to write a good paragraph. Students that sign up for this research paper course should already be very comfortable writing a paragraph. The teacher has successfully guided many students in writing their first research paper in this format both in a homeschool setting and in a homeschool co-op classroom setting.
Homework Offered
Students will be required to find research material regarding the historical person that they are going to write about. Most of the writing and editing for the research paper will be done outside of class as homework. Frequent messages will go back and forth between the student and teacher as needed during the week; students will be encouraged to send copies of the drafts of their paper as the course progresses so that the teacher can suggest the edits that should be made.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
