Mastery Evaluation
1 hour per week. Students will increase their skills when reading the book of their choice. The goal will be for them to go from being able to read about half the words in their book to the entire book over the course of our tutoring sessions depending on current skills and difficulty of the book.Progress Report
I will provide updates in the parent messaging system on Outschool around student progress and if I think they are ready to start working with a new book, both upon parent request and as a see necessary for student growth.Class Experience
US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Beginner Level
In this class the parent or learning will notify me a day or two prior to class about which book they have selected. This will give me a chance to acquire the book as well. During each session I will support the learner with specific reading skills once I know their strengths and difficulties. This may including working directly from their books, or selecting certain words to focus on to practice new reading skills.

As this is individualize tutoring I will adapt to each student's particular needs and interests.
Pre-Requisites
Students should be reading some words and able to read at least half of the words in their chosen book so that we can work on reading skills using the book of their choice.
Supply List
Each session students will need to bring a book of their own choosing that they can read at least half of the words in. We may use the same book over multiple classes, or change books if a child has shown mastery or loss of interest in a particular book.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
