Class Experience

Welcome to a blast into a class focused on one of the most fundamental body muscles- 'The Core'. It is no surprise that the ab muscle(abdominal) is referred to as the core. The core functions as a steady base for various aspects in our daily lives. Stability, balance, agility, digestion e.t.c. It is so important to not only strength the muscles for physical performance but also for overall healthy living. Therefore, in this quick fire fifteen minute class, we will be going through a sequence of exercises, with quick, exciting and invigorating pace to effectively workout the core. We will focus on the upper abs, middle abs and that stubborn lower ab section. I thoroughly enjoy abs and I trust my enthusiasm will be transmitted to you. We will have fun, dynamic and engaging progressive overload on the ab muscle. We will also, at the end of each class, have exciting challenges/games with each other, focused on isometric exercises like planking e.t.c. I have a very empathetic teaching style and always aim to encompass people of all ranges of experience. Therefore please feel free to join, participate and enjoy. I will offer alternative exercises where applicable.

Due to safety, interaction and overall well-being I am unable to take on students who cannot have their cameras on during the live fitness session(allowances are made for occasional technical difficulties). I appreciate that not all students feel comfortable enabling their cameras and therefore recommend an alternative flexible fitness class(pre-recordings and theory activities) that I run from time to time. I would be happy to discuss that as an alternative and students may find that they feel more comfortable engaging in this format.

Moreover, as this is an ongoing class, I will aim to keep it rolling each week. However, please keep in mind that due to family obligations, the Covid-19 crisis etc, unfortunately, this may not always be possible and I may need to cancel sections. If a section is to be cancelled I will aim to do it in advance, preferably before the beginning of the respective week the class is scheduled to take place.

Please note:

•As there is significant preparation made before each session, there will be no refunds for unattended classes. Special consideration will be made in some circumstances if communicated before the session begins.
•Feel free to utilise the classroom recording, if you miss a session. If there is a single student booked in for the class, unfortunately, there will be no content to review.

Learning Goals

The quick fire fitness program, allows students to have great fun, challenge themselves and engage in healthy competition with their peers. Due to the nature of performing a certain volume of exercise, students will be able to have targets for every form of exercise to be performed. They will also be able to build a sense of intrinsic motivation because as their performance improves, they will look to build on more volume and effective time-completion rate. Overall, students will gain comprehensive knowledge, which they can carry with them outside of the classroom and optimise healthy living.

Parental Guidance
Looking forward to meeting you. Please ensure the following before every class to highlight safety, reduce the risk of injury and ensure proper form: 1. Kindly make provisions for an open workout space(identify and remove any hazards around) 2. Dress in comfortable attire, ensuring proper footwear/clothing 3. It is important to hydrate well. Therefore, have water bottle if needed 4. Partake in adequate stretching before class if you need to 5. If at any time you feel any discomfort, stop the activity and let me know immediately 6. Moreover, I recently completed my formal qualification for Personal Fitness Training in the United Kingdom(REPS Accredited) .
