Class Experience

Intermediate - Advanced Level
This is a fun and challenging ongoing workout class for athletes: dancers, ice skaters, gymnasts, runners, soccer and volleyball players. You may join any week, all workouts are unique and have a weekly focus as noted below. The themes continue to rotate each week. Every learner will be challenge at their level, as I will provide modifications for individual athletes as they need.  Please note, this class is for older and advanced students who need a challenge and want to be stronger and more flexibile. Core strength and flexibility are shown to improve ability in sports and help to keep athletes healthy.

Class starts with a warmup and then moves into more challenging exercise on the mat focused around the daily theme. As a physical therapist the instructor for this course will make sure your learner is using good form. Exercises are chosen to maximize time and incorporate several elements at a time to provide a whole body workout.

Themes for each week will start as below and continue to rotate:

week of October 8th- core strength
week of October 15th - hip and leg strength
week of October 22nd - abdominals
week of October 29th - coordination 
week of November 5th-  hip flexibility                                                 


This class is a great compliment for learners who arepracticing their sport several days a week and would like to balance their prgoram with strength and flexibilty.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Students need a mat, plenty of floor space and a water bottle to hydrate. This class is designed for advanced dancers, but will be modified as need for student's abilities. The instructor will provide a warm up at the beginning of class.
