Description
Class Experience
Is your learner obsessed with Superheroes? Do they talk about them all the time? Do they know everything about them? Why not put that knowledge to good use by creating and giving speeches about them and gaining Public Speaking skills along the way? Learners will prepare and present 4 speeches using the skills they have learned in class. All speeches MUST be about Superheroes or another aspect of the Superhero world. Learners will gain public speaking skills, and giving speeches about Superheroes
Learners will use the time during the week to prepare and practice their speeches before presenting them in class. Learners are strongly encouraged to submit a general outline of their speech to the teacher before giving their speech so she can follow along as they present it. They can also use the opportunity to ask for feedback before they give their speeches.
Speeches will not be graded (though parents can request a grade if they ask ahead of time). Learners will be able to apply the skills they learn in class to their speeches.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
