Class Experience

Beginner Level
This is a self paced course, the second in a series of 4 (101, 201, 301 & 401). Photography 2 is designed to be completed over 6 weeks with an expectation of 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 hours of dedicated time each week. Daily lesson videos run between 8-12 minutes.

Photography 201 will dive into exploring a personal style of photography. Students will take 100 photographs each week and reflect on those photographs the last day of each week. Class will culminate by creating a portfolio of work as they reflect on the journey of starting out with Photography 101 to wrapping up Photography 201.

I love the quote from Aristotle, “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” That is why my classroom motto is, “It is a gift to make mistakes everyday. Everyday! Everyday.” When we are kind to ourselves our mistakes become sources of inspiration and an opening to a gateway of learning that no teacher, such as myself, could ever teach. Also, I believe this reinforces the importance of student choice and student voice. When students are valued students are more likely to create work of value. And we (the home support, the teachers and students) all want work of value to be the outcome of this class.

We are all in this together :)

C’mon let’s go!
