Number Classifications:Real, Rational, Integer, Whole & Irrational/Math

In this one time class students will be learn how to classify numbers into different number systems: Real, Rational, Integers, Whole, Natural and Irrational Numbers.  Students will learn about each of the number types and they will be be creating a drawing that can be used for future reference.  Students will need a work area large enough so that they are able to take notes during class.  Bring paper and your colored pencils or crayons to class because we will be creating a picture!

Students will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions throughout class. This class is kept to six students or less to ensure that each student has a chance to participate in the discussion. Lessons are taught using google slides and note taking tips are also discussed.  Students will have a small amount of work to complete outside of class.  More work to reinforce a lesson may/can be given if an individual student needs extra practice.  This class is taught by an experienced math teacher.

This class is the first class in my "Number Sense" series of classes offered over the course of ten weeks (if two classes are taken per week).  These classes are offered individually so that parents/students can sign up for all the classes or just choose which classes fit their needs.  The entire Number Sense series will include the following classes:

Inequalities (1 classe)
Scientific Notation (2 classes)
