In this ongoing class, students will learn and practice a different note taking strategy every week using an interactive notebook.
Class experience
Students will receive a copy of an interactive Google Slide presentation that will be added to each week they attend a class. Every week we will focus on a specific note taking or annotating strategy, and how it can be used for many different formats. We will practice the strategy both as a class and individually. The classroom message board will have the specific strategies for 2-3 weeks at a time posted. The some sample meetings are listed below. - Using annotations to find what is...
Students will improve their note taking skills through both group and individual hands-on practice. This will lead to improved confidence in their learning, studying, and test taking.
Optional: Students can print the interactive slides and use paper, pens, and highlighters, if they prefer instead of using the online tools..
