Summer Geography Class- Seven Continents of the World!

Let's Navigate the Seven Continents of the World!
In this engaging one-time class, students will be introduced to the foundational concepts of Montessori Geography through hands-on visuals and short virtual tour and slides. We will explore the seven continents of the world and learn how materials like the globe and puzzle maps help us understand the world around us. This class is designed to spark curiosity, foster global awareness, and support the development of spatial understanding in a Montessori-inspired environment. Children will be encouraged to share, ask questions, and make meaningful connections as we travel around the world together in a playful and respectful way.

CLASS GOALS:
By the end of this class, learners will be able to:
• Identify the seven continents using visual cards/classification cards.
• Develop an early sense of spatial awareness and global citizenship.
• Understand the purpose and beauty of geography at an early age.
• Experience a meaningful introduction to Geography through age-appropriate activities.

CLASS STRUCTURE:
• Introduction of the Montessori guide
• Introduction to the continents of the world
• Short virtual tour/slides of each continents
• Group activities
• Group discussions and sharing of the knowledge learned
• Certificate of completion awarded after the class.

• Trace and color the seven continents
• Trace the name of the continents
• Classification cards for each continents
