Explore the World by Continents! The continent lesson in Montessori geography curriculum is designed to spark curiosity by exploration, cultural awareness, and environmental appreciation. Learners will navigate the world through hands-on activities, maps, countries and their flag, landmarks, animals, foods, and cultures that make each region unique. This class encourages curiosity and a love for learning about the world, fostering a strong foundation in geography. This is a yearlong ongoing class, join anytime! For each continent lesson, students will learn two countries each week except Australia since it's the only country and also a continent. Recognize the flags, historic landmarks, native animals and local currency. There will be discussions and students are always welcome to share their thoughts about what they have learnt from these countries. Students will receive a passport booklet for each country of the continent mentioned. CLASS STRUCTURES: • We will visit a country via video tour and slides. • I use physical globe to point the continent and the country of study. • I use Montessori puzzle maps for each continent presentation. • Student will have the opportunity to collect country facts, landmark postcards and individual country booklet for their own study at home.
