Montessori Kindergarten Readiness Enrichment Class

The Montessori Kindergarten readiness class is thoughtfully designed to equip children aged 4 to 6 with the foundational skills essential for a successful transition into kindergarten. In alignment with common core standards expectations for early learners, the curriculum integrates Montessori materials and methods to build competency in early literacy skills such as phonemic awareness, letter-sound relationships, reading simple words, and writing short sentences. In mathematics, children will develop a deep understanding of number sense, symbol and quantity, sequencing and basic addition through concrete Montessori materials like the number rods and spindle box. The Montessori approach ensures that these Common Core foundational skills are introduced in a hands-on, developmentally appropriate way, honoring each child's natural learning pace and individual learning journey.
