Students will learn how to multiply and simplify radicals in a simple way. They will apply previous knowledge of identifying prime numbers which derives from the number of factors a number has .The steps will be expressed using prime numbers from both radicals and put together to be simplified. Then students will be introduced to multiplying whole numbers with radicals and even negative numbers (integers). Students will then work on independent work solving examples on their own with minimal teacher assistance. Students will also get to solve radicals with variables inside. The last minutes will be used to discuss the notes taken and steps needed to multiply and simplify radicals, this will allow me to check for understanding. Students will leave the lesson with notes organized in a manner that they will be able to come back to for any future assignments they might have.
