What will be taught: 
Students learn the base tells what number is used as a factor.
Student learn exponent tells the number of times the base is used as a factor.
Students get introduce exponents as repeated multiplication of a base number.  
Students will be shown how to expand an exponent into a multiplication expression, and how to rewrite a number being multiplied by itself as an exponent.
Students are given how to read simple expressions with exponents and asked to write out the equivalent multiplication expression and then calculate the answer. 
Students are given how to write expressions where numbers are repeatedly multiplied by themselves; the student is asked to rewrite the expression as an exponent. 
Students learn the power of ten reading and writing students to evaluate simple powers, evaluates expressions with single digit numbers multiplied by powers of ten, and students are given numbers and asked to rewrite them as powers of ten.
How will the class be taught:
Slides, doc cam and student engagement. 
Teaching style:
Love having fun with math, not making it a boring subject and being creative to all learners. 
Students need to know their multiplication for this class.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
