⭐⭐New to Outschool? Use code KimberleeC20 to save $20 today on your first class!⭐⭐ In this ongoing vocabulary class, we will explore common Greek and Latin root words, practice their meanings with fun games and activities, and learn how to apply this knowledge to deciphering unknown words. Each class, we will focus on 1-2 specific root words, such as bio or hydr. Students will be provided instruction on the root word(s), will create a word family using related words, and will have an opportunity to practice using each root's meaning in multiple ways (handouts, verbal discussion, chat discussion, annotation, games, drawing, etc.). As the teacher, I will provide direct instruction with immediate feedback and encouragement as we practice. I strive to engage each child at their level and keep them active and involved throughout the session. As this course is ongoing, students can join/leave at any time since the root words are not dependent on one another. Wherever your child begins in this course, they will be successful and will be able to grow their vocabulary knowledge with their class community! **NOTE: Thursday at 2pm EST is a SUMMER section ONLY. This will end after the week of August 19, and if you would like to continue, I will be glad to help you switch to a different section after this date.** Week of August 19: Centr ------ See NOTE above ------ Week of August 26: Hydr Week of September 2: Medi Week of September 9: Terr Week of September 16: Uni Week of September 23: Phil Week of September 30: Mono Week of October 7: Hemi/Semi Week of October 14: Mega Week of October 21: Onym Week of October 28: Sci Week of November 4: Bio Week of November 11: Multi/Poly *Topics will cycle back to the beginning after this date!** 📚CLASS CONTENT There are 13+ unique lessons before content will repeat. This course continues weekly throughout the year, with no designated start/stop date. Course content will cycle back through once we reach the end of the loop, so this makes anytime the perfect time to jump in and start learning with us! 📝REFUND POLICY: I follow Outschool's refund policy, which is a full refund within 24 hours of payment until your next meeting or lesson access begins. I am unable to refund for missed classes as the spot is held for your learner which prevents others from enrolling, especially for sold out sections. I appreciate your understanding and support!
