In this class, students will learn how to multiply 2-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers using their love of Minecraft. We will not be playing the game Minecraft in class. It is rather a "Minecraft themed" lesson. The 2-digit numbers in the multiplication equations in class will range from (10 - 99). In this class students will learn: How to multiply 2-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers independently How to use place value to multiply 2-digit numbers How to use addition in 2-digit multiplication equations Vocabulary words (product, ones place, tens place)

There is no formal assessment for this class. Student's progress will be assessed throughout the lesson by answering questions out loud individually or as a group. Students will also be required to complete 2-digit multiplication equations during the independent activities to demonstrate their understanding. Student's knowledge can also be gauged through playing the Kahoot game at the end of class.Grades Offered
In this class students will need to bring the following materials:
1. Something to write on (paper, marker board, chalk board, OR digital screen)
2. Writing tool (pencil, markers, crayons, OR colored pencils)
3. Second device to play Kahoot game on (tablet, iPad, phone)

4. 2 different colored highlighters
* These are optional Students in this class will be using the website Kahoot. Kahoot will be used for students to be able to submit their answers to math questions in the lesson independently. Kahoot can be accessed using the link (https://kahoot.it/). No download is needed to use Kahoot in class and it is free. Kahoot is an approved third-party website/app by Outschool.
