Students will participate in a 3 part drill process based on the science of reading and Orton-Gillingham trainings. The methods will be used to teach prefixes, suffixes, Latin and Greek. Each set course will only focus on one morphology type and will change after each 6 week session. The IMSE 3 part drill includes: auditory, visual, and blending. I will also incorporate writing, comprehension and fluency in each session. The fluency check will include a "cold/hot" read with a level appropriate fluency passage. Followed by a comprehension discussion question. I offer a multi-modality teaching style which is covered in the 3 part drill process. This course is interactive and will include student led discussions and participation.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to read fluency passage at appropriate level with expected progress
