What's included
Class Experience
Watch a recording before bedtime; drift asleep effortlessly and learn relaxation techniques from this certified mindfulness educator and credentialed teacher with decades of experience. Over 650 students taught this technique in person, or online from me personally. I have a couple of master's degrees, one of which focused on the brain and the other teaching & curriculum design. Students do not need to have any background in mindfulness, meditation, or neuroscience. The material will be presented in an easy to understand way while the students practice integrating this knowledge. Each week will build on the last with new skills presented and discussed. Students will be able to access the student classroom, read posts and watch videos, reflect on their own practice, and respond for additional student and teacher input. I'm switching to this format as most students want to do visualization practice right before bed and with students all over the globe, nobody is in the same time zone! Thanks for participating. Have fun and learn some great techniques that will serve you over the course of your lifetime. Please connect with me should you have questions, concerns, comments, or require clarification. This is my passion and I want to instill the same excitement in my students. Reach out! Teacher expertise and credentials
California Teaching Certificate in English/Language Arts
Hello. I'm a credentialed single-subject English teacher for grades 7-university with a Cambridge ESL Certificate on top of it. World travel yielding human situational understanding is what drives me toward continuous learning. I've a couple master's degrees (one each in science and the arts) and I finished first in my graduating class from Drexel in 2011. Let me share my skills for life AND the classroom for how you can start towards earning the higher grades that you want to achieve.
Using a Holistic approach to teaching means that my students bring their writing to our class that either received a poor mark from a teacher, or one that is currently being worked on; we review opportunities for learning as they come up in his/her school assignments. Parents are informed of concepts learned via a brief post-class-email and areas that should be reviewed in future classes in order to drive the learning forward. The student will be responsible for reviewing concepts learned and held accountable in what ever way the parent would like. This may include follow up classes just for knowledge exchange, quiz, redo, or the parent may not request any review of material previously learned. What and how is all up to each parent/child group that I work with.
