Math: Introduction to Subtracting Fractions
Two day class, subtracting fractions. Students learn the basic operation in working with fractions. Students will realize subtracting fractions uses many of the same principals as adding.

What will be taught: Day One: Terms to remember: subtract, difference, like fractions Students learn to find the difference in fraction problems Students learn to subtract fractions and write the difference as a reduced fraction Students learn to do like fractions whose difference is one or greater than one. Students learn how to subtract exchange in subtracting fractions Day 2 Students learn how to exchange in fractions mixed numbers like denominators. Students learn word problems using subtraction in fractions. Students learn how to use the L C D in subtracting mixed numbers. Student learn how to subtract mixed numbers unlike denominators How I will teach the class: whiteboard, slides, work sheets, games, some exercises will be given for practice. Some previous knowledge of fractions of additions will be helpful. Students have knowledge of the multiplication table.

Students will learn to understand how to subtract fractions. Students learn to subtract fractions and write the difference as a reduced fraction.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
