Master Algebra 1 Using Math-U-See Accelerated Summer Course (7 Weeks-Complete Course)

Students will learn from instruction on the whiteboard and through working example problems.  Class time will be used to go over homework from the previous day, answer any questions and cover the day's lesson. Students will have time at the end of the class to work problems and ask any additional questions.  Topics covered include:

There are 2 grading options for this class:

Option 1: Students will not submit assignments and will not receive a grade. This option is perfect for those just looking for additional support and wishing to grade their own papers or skip HW and test altogether. 

Option 2:  I will grade Classwork/Homework and test.  Students will submit all assignments to Google Classroom.  Assignments must be submitted in a pdf.  Assigments submitted to Outschool will not be graded.  Late Assignments will not be graded.  Assignments not submitted in pdf form will not be graded.

Day 1: Finding the Slope-Intercept Formula with Different Givens
Day 2: Graphing Inequalities
Day 3: Solving Simultaneous Equations by Graphing
Day 4: Solving Simultaneous Equations by Substitution
Day 5: Solving Simultaneous Equations by Elimination

Day 1: Coin Problems
Day 2: Consecutive Integers
Day 3: Multiplication and Division with Exponents
Day 4: Negative Exponents and Raising Exponents to a Power
Day 5: Addition and Multiplication of Polynomials

Day 1: Factor Polynomials
Day 2: Factor Trinomials with Coefficients
Day 3: Factor Trinomials with Negative Numbers
Day 4: Square Roots and Dividing Polynomials
Day 5: Difference of Two Squares and Oriental Squares
