US Grade 7 - 10
In my Homeschool Algebra 1 Course, I cover the entire Algebra 1 curriculum. We meet three times per week for 45 minutes each time over four months. My teaching style is very interactive. I show students examples of the problems during class and I interact with my students throughout the lesson. I encourage students to participate in the lesson and attempt the problems. I am a very kind and patient teacher. I pay attention to my students and adjust the pace to suit my students. Sometimes, this means speeding up my teaching and presenting more complicated questions while at other times, this means slowing down the pace and repeating the explanations. Homework: Students are expected to complete problem sets which I post each week. I also post additional videos and the notes from the lectures for students to review. I have many years of experience teaching students with learning differences including: ADHD, ADD, concussions, anxiety, dyslexia, dyscalulia, dysgraphia, autism spectrum disorder and others. I have 19 years of teaching experience and in that time, I have taught over one thousand students! I have taught at the best boarding schools in Canada: Shawnigan Lake School and Brentwood College School. I majored in Biochemistry at Queen's University. After completing my Homeschool Algebra 1 Course, students are prepared to enroll in my Homeschool Geometry Course.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I studied Biochemistry at Queen's University and I have eighteen years of teaching experience. In that time, I have helped hundreds of students succeed!
I am the owner of a small tutoring business which I have operated for over fifteen years.
I specialize in teaching algebra, pre-algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, foundations of math, advanced functions, calculus, chemistry, physics, math and science at the middle school, secondary and post-secondary level.
My teaching style is methodical and I focus on improving the students' grades. In fact, several of my most highly motivated students have recently been accepted to medical school in the UK, directly from grade 12!
I have worked with students from many different private and public secondary and post-secondary institutions across Canada including Shawnigan Lake School, Brentwood College School, Queen's University, UBC and many others.
I have years of experience teaching students with learning disabilities including: dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, concussions and others.
I have worked with students from all over the world and I am sensitive to cultural differences and adjust my teaching style to suit my students.
In addition to my professional experience, I also homeschooled my little niece during the COVID-19 pandemic. I have been teaching her almost daily since she was four and now she is nine and she is reading, writing and doing math in two languages!
