Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
Have you ever wanted to explore Feudal Japan with Ninjas? Maybe explore the ancient world with dinosaurs? Then join Steve, Alex and our teachers as we embark on an enhancing journey in the Magic Treehouse and make scenes come alive in Minecraft. In this 2-day camp, students will think critically about the weekly book and have a discussion about their thoughts. Students will also take the time to recreate their favorite scenes from the book inside of Minecraft. At the end of the week, students will have a book report which records their thoughts to the critical questions. They will also receive a copy of their Minecraft world to cherish and share with friends! (Students should read the weekly book before the class starts) (For this class, students will need to purchase the Java Edition of Minecraft on their own computers).

In addition to providing a fun experience students will learn how to:

 - Collaborate with other students to design buildings and other locations in the story and learn how to build them in Minecraft
 - Write a book report and edit it when necessary in Google Docs
 - Develop negotiating skills when conflict arises in a group setting and engage in teamwork
 - Execute their creative ideas through building their own personalized setting in Minecraft
 - Use technology to accomplish goals
 - Give instructions to others and accept feedback from teachers and peers alike
