-Ability to make a simple sewing project following steps
I am a self-taught quilter and LOVE to sew! I also have a 7 year old daughter who I have taught to quilt. Sewing is one of my favorite hobbies and I love talking about it and teaching others about it!
 1 file available upon enrollment
REQUIRED MATERIALS FOR THIS CLASS *NOTE* For best experience, students should come to class having already explored the parts of their sewing machine with the owner's manual and it is preferable that they have practiced threading their needle OR they can come to class with their needle threaded and bobbin full. Please refer to the included parts worksheet for extra practice prior to class. 1. Sewing machine 2. All-purpose thread (white or a variety to choose from) 3. Bobbin 4. Fabric Scissors (serrated works best) 5. Scrap cotton fabric for practicing 6. Seam ripper 7. Pins (or sewing clips will work too) 8. Iron & ironing board or mat 9. Ruler 10. (MUST HAVE) 2 pieces of Cotton fabric cut into 5 inch squares (these can be cut from scraps or purchase a small fabric square pack or charm pack)
It is recommended that a parent is on hand to supervise the class due to the nature of the tools being used (needles & iron).
