Beginner Level
In this engaging and interactive class, students will embark on a journey to uncover the secrets of melody. Through fun activities and exercises, they will learn about pitch, intervals, clefs, key signatures, scales, and how to create their own simple melodies. By the end of the class, students will understand the concept of melody and its significance in music, understand about musical notes, their names, and positions on the staff, explore intervals and how they contribute to melodic movement, and practice creating simple melodies using learned concepts.

Students will improve their understanding of pitch, intervals, clefs, key signatures, scales, and how to create melody.

Students will need paper and pen if they would like to take notes, but otherwise will only need their voices to participate.
