Learner progress is thoughtfully assessed through a variety of engaging activities during our class sessions. While we enjoy singing and playing together, I provide individual attention to each student, particularly during pitch and rhythm matching exercises. Additionally, interactive games like "Rhythm Impostors" offer opportunities for skill evaluation and growth, ensuring that every student's musical journey is nurtured and progressed.Grades Offered
There are no prerequisites for this class. We will be learning the most basic fundamentals of music theory.
We will be singing, clapping, and tapping on our legs. If learners have desk bells, they may use them, but they are not required for the class.
We play games called 'Instrument Imposters' and 'Rhythm Imposters,' which are inspired by the popular game 'Among Us.' 'Among Us' is a survival game in which players must vote off all the imposters and complete tasks to win, while the imposter tries to eliminate crewmates or hinder their task completion. In our game, the imposters are NPCs that produce sounds not corresponding to the pictures on the screen. There's no rivalry or competition among students in this class, but it's important to note that some younger students might find the concept of an impostor unsettling or frightening.
We will be using licensed videos by Prodigies Music in every class.
