In this one time class students will learn about the life of penguins. Students will learn how they are born, how their life changes as they age, discover the proper names of their unique body parts by filling in blanks and how their way of life is unique and beautiful.

Class Experience

Students will dive into the study of penguins! Students will learn basic facts about penguins in general. 
Students will learn facts regarding:
*Mating
*Classification and Species
*Evolution theories
*Habitat
*Food Chain
*Hobbies
*Colonies
*Penguin Body Parts

Students will be encouraged to learn and discuss during this lesson. After the lesson students will complete a worksheet in which they will fill in the body parts of the penguin. They will also have a 10 question worksheet to check for understanding that we will complete and discuss as a class, this will allow for extension and clarification.

Learning Goals

Students will learn about penguins, observe how they live in penguin colonies, learn about their unique body parts and answer questions about penguin facts.
