This class features a complete series that teaches students to read CVC (consonant vowel consonant) words in each vowel group over 5 weeks. In this series, we will focus on reviewing letter sounds and blending them to read and write CVC words. We will also learn a few sight words and read simple complete sentences together. 🏆 FUN WORD GAMES | Students will play interactive games with animated characters to sound out CVC words. This part of class is really *special* because students discover they can read! 🌠 MAGICAL MINI-STORIES | Each week, students will read an engaging story (with help from animated characters) that contains the words they learned in the lesson. 🧑🏫 SOCIAL SKILLS - We will go over what we learned and discussed in class, chat about fun topics, or share a toy. • I have a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Kent State University and I am certified to teach English as a second language.
• I have 8+ years of teaching experience in public schools, libraries, and the online classroom.
• I love spending time with my two sons and together we learn something new every day! We are big fans of dinosaurs, video games, Disney movies, and Pokémon. Many of my classes are inspired by our adventures.
