Leaf Exploration: Hands on Science!
In this one time class, preschool and kindergarten students will explore color, size, and shape of fall leaves, make a leaf rubbing, and compare their leaves to other student's leaves.

Class Experience
This course will be broken into two parts. Part one, students will explore the leaves. We will learn about why leaves are green and why they change color in the fall. We will also learn about what leaves do for a tree. We will touch briefly on scientific words such as pigment, chlorophyll, photosynthesis, and deciduous. When we have finished learning about leaves, we will make observations about our own leaves. We will discuss colors, shapes, sizes, and how the leaves feel. We will write...
