Investigating the World of Plants is designed to introduce young learners to the enchanting world of plants, focusing on seeds, germination, plant anatomy, and life cycles. Through interactive discussions and exciting hands-on projects, students will gain a deep understanding of how plants grow and thrive, igniting their curiosity about the natural world around them. This class meets twice a week for 4 weeks. Students will build models, run plant experiments, and dissect seeds and flowers to learn more about what makes a plant a plant. Our projects and experiments will help us answer the questions: * What is inside a seed? * What happens to a seed during germination? * Do different plants have different life cycles? * What do plants need to survive? * What is the structure of a flowering plant? Investigating the World of Plants immerses students in the captivating world of plants, seeds, germination, and life cycles. Through hands-on activities and engaging lessons, students will not only learn about the science of plants, but also develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world. By the end of the 4-week program, they will have not only have started to grow their own plants, but also cultivated a sense of wonder about the beauty and complexity of plant life.
