The purpose of this ongoing class is to give learners the opportunity to consider leadership and character development with others their age under my supervision and facilitation. My philosophy of leadership development is based on the simple premise that people will naturally follow those who demonstrate consistently good character. Students will consider actions they do in their lives as a sort of practicum - things like making their beds, doing the dishes, taking out the trash, brushing their teeth, developing a skill, etc - and discussing things like their attitude and ability to remember to complete these actions. Focusing on encouragement instead of coercion, I'll help the students engage in ways that bring out their unique strengths, honor each student's individual experiences, and help them feel capable and important. As an ongoing class, students can participate once or multiple times. Each week's session will be unique because of the people present and the new experiences they are having in their lives. While the conversation in this class is English, it is also ESL friendly, appropriate for CEFR: A2, B1, B2, and beyond. Having learners from different countries and backgrounds helps expand our opportunities to connect with and respect others. ----- A NOTE ABOUT THE COST OF THIS CLASS: I know the price of my classes is higher than many others on Outschool. As an experienced and talented educator, I believe I'm worth this amount and invite you to look at my reviews. That said, I don't want any family to be priced out of what I offer. Whatever your financial situation, if you're interested in one or more of my classes, please reach out and let me know what you can afford. I can provide coupons, refunds, and/or reductions, and am confident we can find an equitable rate that works for you and me.
