Description
Class Experience
In this one time, forty-minute class the learners will interact with the teacher and each other to discuss what they already know about the planets, get a quick introduction of the planets in our solar system and make a list of things they'd like to know more about!
Students will learn what planets (other than Earth) exist in our solar system.
I have taught science in both the special education and co-taught in a general education middle school classroom. I am currently a homeschool mom teaching an astronomy unit with my daughter and would love to teach your child as well!
Out of the planets we discussed, pick your favorite. Draw a picture or write a short paragraph telling why this planet is your favorite.
An instructional handout will be posted in the classroom before class. This will be available during class but you can print it out and preview it before class if you wish.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
A discussion format will be used to assess what the learners already know.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
