Class Experience

Data professionals' average salary is approximately $70,000 annually. The first step to becoming a data professional is to learn about SQL, or Structured Query Language. In this course, we will be taking an introductory look into SQL, answering questions such as "What is SQL?" and "Who uses SQL?". We will examine some of the most common keywords pertaining to the realm of SQL. We will be introduced to the DBMS, or database management system and learn about some real-world examples of DBMSs. We'll also learn how to download from the internet a free, open-source DBMS, MySQL, which your student may utilize in my next class, Building a Database, or experimenting with on their own. This is an outstanding first class to get your student interested in or more familiar with the programming language SQL. I hope to see him or her soon!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Welcome and thank you for visiting my profile! With over 5 years online teaching experience, I have been described by parents as an encouraging, creative teacher with strengths including conversational practice, grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary. Subject areas I look forward to teaching your child include Microsoft Office Suite, grammar, creative writing, cursive writing and an introduction to the SQL programming language, to name a few. I believe a classroom setting should have a healthy mix largely of seriousness, yet with a pinch of fun mixed in at times. Generally my philosophy is work hard play hard, with work always coming first. Again I'd like to thank you for stopping by. I'm looking forward to our learning journey together!
