Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
Are you looking for a fun, interactive way to teach your young child the basics of math? Look no further! This class will offer the basics of mathematics in a fun, eye-opening way. I have been tutoring mathematics since 2014.

In this class we will review simple shapes: circles, squares, triangles, rectangles. We will draw a few fun pictures using these shapes. We will then make a graph and begin graphing shapes. After this is mastered, we will start graphing things we see around the house in a fun graphing game using blocks/legos. Be prepared to run around the house in this fun game. *If you do not have blocks or legos, anything that has different colors will do (such as x amount of red marbles, blue marbles, green marbles, etc).
Learning Goals
Students will learn the basics of math by practicing the basic shapes and how to use them, as well as making a graph craft in class. Then they will learn to graph the shapes, then graph using legos. If time permits we will play a graphing game around the house.
