Class Experience

Are you ready for the Ultimate Jedi/Sith/Lightsaber workout all in one course? Grab your Lightsabers, costumes, and bring the Force with you and join me at Galaxy's Edge for a fun and interactive week of all things Star Wars and fitness. This is a class suitable for all fans of the Light side and the Dark side. If you've taken any of my other Star Wars classes, you will have a one-up on this ultimate course. The workouts will follow my previous courses, with an included bonus class for taking this camp!

**Note: This is a FITNESS class while using lightsabers to workout. If you are looking for full lightsaber training, I would suggest my class called Star Wars: Jedi Lightsaber Spins and Tricks**
Please read dates carefully. Sometimes it’s once a week and sometimes it’s 4 days in a row. 
This class is also offered as a Flexible schedule course (FLEX).

This 4 class course will start with simpler moves and progressively get harder with each day. 

Course layout:

++DAY 1: Jedi Training Workout for Kids with Rey
(Also offered as a one-time class)
5 min: Introductions/ Star Wars mini discussion 

20 min: Jedi Workout with a few water breaks 
 •5 min Force training with me (Rey)
 •4 min lightsaber workout with Luke Skywalker (youtube video, with permission), followed by 4 minutes of student-led workouts 
 •5 min Lightsaber workout with me (Rey). 
Some of the moves included are: Force Blasts (jump lunge with hand force), Clone Chops (sit ups), Jedi Twists, Rebel Runs, Force Strikes (lightsaber swings), and more!

5 min: Cool down/ Discussion

5-8 min: Share favorite workout move

++DAY 2: Sith Training Workout for Kids with a Stormtrooper
(Also offered as a one-time class)
5 min: Introductions/ Star Wars mini discussion

20 min: Cardio/ HIIT Sith Workout 
 5 min warmup with a Stormtrooper (me)
 5 min youtube workout with Kylo Ren
 10 min HIIT workout with a Stormtrooper (me).

5 min: Cool down/ 

5-8 min: Discussion/ Share favorite workout move

++DAY 3: Jedi Character Workout for Kids 
(Also offered as a one-time class)
5 min: Introductions/ Star Wars mini discussion 

20 min: Jedi Workout with a few water breaks 
 5 min warm up with Rey
 8 min Force Workout (Some moves include: Padawan Planks, Han Solo Shuttle Run, and Droid Drops)
 7 min Cardio with Lightsabers (Some moves include: X-wing swings, Lightsaber Leaps, and a figure 8 Lightsaber trick)

3 min: Cool down (Force breathing)
5-8 min: Discussion/ Share favorite workout move


++DAY 4: Best of the Force Fitness Day/Basic Lightsaber Training (Bonus class)
This bonus class is currently not offered as a one-time class- only available through this camp!
5 min: Introductions/Star Wars mini discussion/Warm up

12 min: Cardio workout using our favorite moves from the first 3 classes using the Force, Light side, Dark side, and Lightsabers (water breaks included)

12 min: Bonus lightsaber moves class -Learn a few simple lightsaber moves to use when practicing to become a Jedi

5 min: Share our favorite skill from camp/ Lightsaber moves

3 min: Farewell/ May the Force Be With You


*Classes will be between 35-40 min depending on number of students enrolled. At the end of each class learners are welcome to share their favorite workout/Jedi moves they learned that day. 

Learners are encouraged to bring a lightsaber, a stick, a pool noodle, or something along those lines. If you don't have anything, it's ok, we love make believing. It is also important to have a good amount of space to move around, as well as comfortable shoes (or bare feet), a mat or carpeted area, and some water.  

*Note: This is a Cardio-based class. Make sure to continue to drink plenty of water throughout the day.
Feel free to share photos of the young Jedis in training! All ages welcome.

Learning Goals

Students will learn to have positive discussions with fellow learners about Star Wars Jedi moves, characters, and work out moves. During our work out, students will learn to stretch correctly. They will learn fun and exciting moves through working out that will help them look and use the Force like a real Jedi. This is a cardio-workout, which will: strengthen heart and muscles, burn calories, reduce body stiffness, and boost "good mood" chemicals. 

These classes will build upon each other progressively getting harder.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Make sure the students have enough room to move around. Comfortable clothing is preferred, as well as water. A light saber of sorts is preferred- you may also use a pool noodle, a stick, or any other kind of item that resembles this.

I took fitness, health, and nutrition classes in college. I played sports all through high school. I work out on a daily basis using a variety of techniques. I love fitness and can't wait to teach your children some fun ways to work out and to create healthy lifestyle habits. 
My family also LOVES all things Star Wars! I have seen all the movies and know the characters well.
