Description
Class Experience
By the end of this course, students will be able to identify all the bones in the human body, and all the major muscles. Students will also learn about range of motion, and how the body moves.
Anatomy Expertise: -licensed massage therapist for 10+ years (have worked with chiropractic doctors, physical therapists, and physicians) -passed the NCBTMB National Massage Certification Exam -studied kinesiology (study of human movement) -yoga instructor -daughter of a physician Yoga Expertise: -yoga instructor at University of California, Irvine -former TA to the yoga professor at Orange Coast College
*Required homework will be offered via printable worksheets. *Optional homework will be provided on quizlet...via quizzes, interactive online games, and flashcards.
-note-taking materials -handouts will be provided in PDF format, and will need to be printed and filled out, or filled out digitally (with a PDF form filler).
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Retention will be assessed by in-class quiz games. Informal, and fun! If you wish to receive a certificate or a letter grade for this class, the learner can take an optional end-of-class quiz, on the last day.
2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Outschool requires a participant warning on all classes that involve movement. Please make sure you have the following: -an open space to move around, free of tripping hazards -water -proper attire for yoga (comfy clothes, and barefeet or grippy socks) To prevent injury, we will always warm up.
