Butterfly Pavilion is an invertebrate zoo that features animals that are considered frightening to many people. Our intention is to talk about these animals with an open mind, while highlighting the many benefits these animals provide for us and the world at large, but in doing so this class may expose students to varied media of animals they may be afraid of including, but not limited to, spiders, cockroaches, bees, and other invertebrates.
