Beginner Level
In this 6 week series, students will learn the proper alignment of 24 basic basic yoga poses, basic yogic breathwork and meditation practices. This course is for beginners and requires no prior knowledge of yoga, certain level of physical flexibility, or specific body type. All are welcome! Each week, we begin by checking in to make sure all your questions from the previous week’s material are answered, then build on the material learned previously, exploring several new yoga postures and a new breathing or meditation practice. Each session ends with guided or quiet relaxation. There will be no homework but practicing outside of class is highly encouraged. You will be given a handout of the poses and breathwork we will be learning each so you can practice if you choose too. Please have a yoga mat, laptop with webcam and wear comfortable clothing for this class. A chair, a large bath towel and a stack of books can all be handy to have nearby to use for additional support but are not necessary.

I was first exposed to yoga in college and it quickly blossomed into a daily practice. For over 20 years, yoga has made me stronger physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It has prepared my body and seen me safely through five pregnancies. Yoga has revitalized my body during times of debilitating suffering due to chronic illness. It has lifted my spirits and reminded me to breath when nothing else could. What I love most about yoga is that it is a never-ending journey, always with something new to discover and with continual opportunities to delve deeper into the practice. I would love to inspire others to experience their own lifelong yogic journey.
