Children will learn how a published author writes a story with a clear beginning, middle and end. Children will see how details, such as dialogue, actions, thoughts and feelings, are added to bring stories to life. Children will learn by demonstrations, and by writing their own stories. Writing conventions such as spelling, grammar and punctuation will be taught as needed. During each lesson children will get a chance to go through the complete writing process of planning, drafting, editing, revising, and publishing (sharing) their completed narratives. Supply List
I will provide writing paper that can be printed, or children can use their own paper. I will also send links to Henry and Mudge stories read aloud online.
