Welcome! I am glad you're here. I am excited about the opportunity to teach your child! In this one time class, learners will engage in a Halloween themed conversation. We will discuss Halloween costumes, traditions, what we like/dislike about Halloween, etc. We will then create a paper plate Wicked Witch House craft! This class will allow students to practice social skills and fine motor skills. Students should be able to use scissors and glue safely, or have an adult near to help them if needed. * PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LET YOUR CHILD WEAR THEIR HALLOWEEN COSTUME IF THEY WOULD LIKE! *

* One page handout with cutouts will be attached - please print prior to class * Learners will need: * white paper plate (8 1/2 inch if possible) * scissors * markers/crayons/colored pencils (whichever they prefer) * glue stick or liquid glue (whichever they prefer) * handout

Hello! My name is Lindsay. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors Degree in Community Health. I have a background in family and social services work and early education. I have had the wonderful opportunity to mentor and teach children of all ages and from all walks of life for many years, both in and out of the traditional classroom setting. I also have experience teaching online and connecting with learners around the globe!
I have a passion for teaching! I am particularly passionate about teaching life and social skills. I truly believe that social skills are one of the most valuable tools in a child's toolbox. I also love to teach Language Arts and plan to offer a variety of classes in this subject area. In addition, I enjoy art, cooking, culture studies, and health and wellness. I can't wait to explore these exciting and fun topics with your child!
