Class Experience

I love to design and make hand-crafted, art pieces to enjoy myself or to share with friends and family! In this class, you will get to create a beautiful work of art, and also make new friends in a safe environment conducive to both creativity and communication. You will create a one-of-a-kind piece that you and/or your recipient will love! In this class, we will explore the art of water color painting, origami, scrapbooking, acrylic painting, doodling and various other arts and crafts forms. We will sit together, craft our pieces and have an opportunity to get to know one another through friendly communication. Since I am also a Drama instructor, I will be able to help you communicate with your peers. It will be a lot of fun and you will end up with a great piece, and hopefully will have begun to create new friendships, as well!
Learning Goals
The students will be able to:

1. Communicate freely with their peers and create new bonds of friendship.
2. Develop basic skills in the use of water color painting.
3. Stimulate their love of learning and of the arts.

California Teaching Certificate in Music/Theater/Arts
Hello! My name is Danielle Brown and I have been teaching dance and drama for 41 years!

I have taught in day care centers, dance studios, brick and mortar schools and theatres. Currently, I teach drama and dance in high school and have been for 19 years. For my school I not only teach, but I direct our Spring musicals and choreograph for our Liturgical movers.

I have also worked as a director, choreographer and teacher for teen theatre companies and workshops in Southern California. I hold a BA in Theatre and have studied dance throughout studios in Los Angeles. I am also a performer and have performed in plays and musicals both in school and regionally.

I love teaching in the arts as I was "bitten by the bug" at a young age, enjoying learning and performing since the age of 14. I want to share this passion with your children and provide them with experiences they will remember for a lifetime!

One of my favorite experiences was training in Summer at the Teenage Drama Workshop at California State University, Northridge. It was there I learned my craft and also created wonderful memories! I hope you will create wonderful memories, too!

I teach story time classes that include pre-ballet for younger ones, as well as, more advanced acting training for youth and teens. These classes include: improvisation and theatre games. I also teach classes in choreography for teens. Additionally, I teach arts and crafts classes!

Come join me and have FUN creating ART!!!!!
