Students will practice the basic stitches involved in crocheting with amigurumi (Japanese for crocheted, stuffed doll). Students should have some knowledge of how to crochet before starting this class. Students should know how to hold the yarn and hook, make a slip knot, and chain to get the most of this club style class. Students will practice magic rings, single crochet, and half double crochet stitches while chatting with their peers. Students can share their work with me and their peers while we socialize. I will review crochet techniques each week. Students are welcome to bring their own projects to class to complete while chatting or for assistance. I like to teach by see one, do one, and, possibly, teach one 😊. I'll teach students how to read patterns and show them how to make stitches with the goal of them moving on with the pattern independently. I'll check progress throughout the class to make sure everyone understands the pattern. Students will be encouraged to share and help their peers. We will meet once a week to work on our own projects or to practice basic stitches with me. Please message me if you have any questions!
