In this 3 week class, we will explore the peculiarities of Greek drama in both literature and history with a few examples.

Greek theatre construction and Oedipus Rex by Sophocles
 Week 2
Lesson 2
Tragedy vs. Comedy and Medea by Euripides

Lesson 3
Elements and innovations of Greek plays and The Birds by Aristophanes
Students will improve their understanding of the form and function of Greek drama.  
I have a master's degree from the University of Cambridge and 17 years of teaching experience.  I am an AP approved teacher in AP literature and world history.
Homework Offered
Optional weekly writing assignments will be provided.
Assessments Offered
Assessment can be provided in any form the parents request.
Grades Offered
At times literature involves themes such as violence.  Parental guidance is suggested for any themes to meet the maturity level of their own learners.  Sensitive topics will be handled with care, and the family support of parents is requested.
