Welcome to the 6 week class about Greek Heroes! The stories of the heroes have been fascinating people for thousands of years. The Greek Heroes go on epic quests and journeys. They fight monsters. Gods and Goddesses appear throughout the tales to both help and hinder them. The stories include comedy and tragedy along the way. They seek guidance from various sources and sometimes even cross paths with each other. This class welcomes learners of all types and interactivity levels. It is perfect for those who are more comfortable jumping into the chat to share their thoughts and questions and learners who love to share and discuss out loud. It is great for newcomers to the Greek Myths or those who already have a deep love for them. During this class we will follow along with new tales each week and learn all about the Greek Heroes. Here is the breakdown of the class schedule: Week One: Theseus and the Minotaur & Perseus and Medusa Week Two: Jason, The Argonauts, and The Quest for he Golden Fleece Week Three: Bellerophon, Cadmus, and Atalanta Week Four: Hercules and His Twelve Labors Week Five: Achilles and the Trojan War Week Six: Odysseus and the Journey Home

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have loved Greek Mythology for most of my life and having been reading all the myths I can get my hands on.
I recently travelled to Athens for a month and visited major historical sites related to the myths in order to learn even more. I am ver excited to share this new knowledge.
