Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
- Students will improve their understanding of what is necessary to make a complete sentence.
- Students will learn the four types of sentences, their punctuation, and the purpose of each type.
- Students will create a writing sample in which they use each of the four kinds of sentences.
I am a state certified teacher and CALP (Certified Academic Language Practitioner). I have been teaching grades 6-12 for almost ten years.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
The Pear Deck questions and activities embedded within the lesson allow me check for student understanding immediately. Responses to these questions and activities will serve as formative assessments throughout the lesson.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This course uses Pear Deck add-on for Google Slides and Kahoot! to review (if time allows). Students do not need to create an account for either resource. A new Pear Deck code and Kahoot! game pin is provided for each session.
