What will be taught:
Action verbs and helping verbs
Students will learn linking verbs links the subject of a sentence with a word or words in the predicate.
Students will learn when a verb is a linking verb, it does not show action, and it is not a helping verb. 
Student will learn about most common linking verbs
Student will learn to write sentences that has an action or linking to describe the verb.
Students will learn to tell each verb then show its linking verb in sentences. 
Students will learn to write a short challenge writing activity using action and linking verbs. 
Students will learn through discussion, participation in a writing activity, slides, white board, game, work sheets or anything that can help the students to understand the lesson.
Some previous knowledge on subject and predicates and some knowledge of action verbs would help the student. 
Worksheets will be provided for extra practice after the lesson is taught with answer keys.
Learning Goals
Students will understand action verbs and the helping verbs in each sentences has a connection to subjects and predicates. Students will learn to proofread their work to correct any capital letters, end marks. Students will also understand how to write short paragraph using the action and linking verbs.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
