** SPECIAL SCHEDULE FOR DECEMBER 2023 HOLIDAY BREAK ** ** PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A WEEKLY COURSE. DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS (JUNE-AUG), IT RUNS TWICE A WEEK.** According to a study conducted by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), employers consistently rank soft skills as highly desirable but lacking among job applicants. The study found that while technical skills and knowledge are important, it is the lack of soft skills that often hinders job candidates from securing employment or advancing in their careers. In fact, the study revealed that 91% of employers surveyed considered soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, as critical for hiring decisions and long-term success in the workplace. Soft skills go beyond academic knowledge and play a fundamental role in their personal and professional development. By providing teenagers with a comprehensive course that focuses on these essential soft skills, they are better prepared for the challenges and demands they will face as they transition into adulthood. These skills empower them to communicate effectively, collaborate successfully, manage their time wisely, and lead with integrity. Ultimately, such a course equips young people with the tools they need to thrive academically, socially, and professionally, setting them on a path toward a successful and fulfilling future.
