Description

Class Experience

This is a fun and low stress way for students to gain confidence in their reading ability. Students enrolled in this course should be comfortable identifying the names and sounds of most consonants and vowels. If your child needs extra practice with these skills, please enroll them in Fun with Phonics for Emergent Readers.

Each class contains two songs and one story. Students are welcome to bring a "fluffy friend" to class to sing our hello and goodbye songs!

This is a sample syllabus....

I have several years of experience teaching reading intervention at the K-3 level and have completed intervention coursework at the graduate level. This course is specifically designed for students who need a fun, low stress way to practice basic reading skills.

Students may bring flashcards or other letters to class in order to help them build words. However, no additional materials are required for this course.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
